Raleigh, N.C. — Police briefly evacuated some portions of a Hanover Square office building downtown Tuesday afternoon while they checked on a suspicious package.
The package had been found in a workout room, police said.
People were evacuated and sections of Cabarrus and Wilmington streets were closed briefly while officers investigated. The incident was over within an hour.
