Gunshots Fired Inside Burlington Nightclub

Burlington, N.C. — Burlington police are investigating a shooting at a nightclub.

At about 2 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a disturbance at the Kryptonite Nightclub at 2437 Corporation Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers found gunshot victim Julius Wiley, 22, of Burlington. He was transported to Alamance Regional Hospital for treatment of a bullet wound to his left arm.

Police arrested Vincent Atwater, 22, of 331 W. Union St. in Hillsborough. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment.

Atwater was being held Saturday night at the Alamance County jail.
