Durham, N.C. — U.S. Marshals in New York State on Friday arrested a man who was being sought on a Durham murder charge, city police said.
Marshals from the Joint Fugitive Task Force and other units arrested Gary Brady, 46, where he was working at a service station in Uniondale, N.Y., on Long Island, Durham police said.
Brady, whose last known address in the Durham area was on Hardee Street, is accused in the Nov. 23 killing of Derrick Burch, 44, of Spring Creek Drive, whose body was found near the intersection of Southgate and Driver streets.
Police also wanted Burch to face an unrelated charge of obtaing property by false pretense.
