A Durham man wanted in the shooting death of a teen last month was arrested Thursday, police said.

Johnathan Kevin Carter, 21, of Maple Street, was arrested at 108 S. Hyde Park Ave. following a tip to CrimeStoppers, police said.

Carter was charged with murder in the Dec. 29 shooting death of 16-year-old Jalani Ferril. Ferril was found shot on the 100 block of Roberson Street, and he died later at Duke University Hospital.

Investigators have said they don't believe the shooting was random.
