Cary Police Seek Puppy Pincher

Cary, N.C. — Cary police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing golden retriever puppy named Lulu and the thief who they think stole her.

Police said the crook broke into a home on East Cornwall Road between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Monday and took the puppy, as well as jewelry, a Gateway computer and an Olympus digital watch.

Investigators are seeking a white man with sandy-colored, medium-length hair who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was seen wearing a tan windbreaker and khaki pants and driving a beige Ford Taurus at the time of the theft.

Lulu was last seen wearing a pink collar, investigators said.

"We're hoping that someone will recognize the puppy and help us return it to its rightful owner," Capt. Dave Wulff said.
