Fayetteville, N.C. — Police on Monday were investigating a fatal drive-by shooting at Grove View Terrace.
Officers responding to a reported shooting at the complex found Corey L. Thompson, 27, of 119 Trailwood Drive, outside Building 75 at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, they said. He had been shot several times, and he died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Police said Thompson wasn't the intended target of the shooting. But they said they didn't have any information on a possible motive or any suspects.
