Site SearchKnightdale, N.C. — A Knightdale man has been charged with sexually assaulting a nursing home resident.
Charles Flowers, 68, of 804 Old Ferrell Road, was charged with second-degree sexual offense. He was released on a $200,000 secured bond.
The charge stems from an alleged assault on a woman in her room at the Wellington Nursing Center in Knightdale. The woman was physically and mentally incapacitated, according to a warrant.
The woman's daughter said she witnessed the alleged assault, police said.
A Wellington Nursing Center spokeswoman said the nursing home is cooperating in the investigation.
