Site SearchRaleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police were investigating a fatal shooting.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Walnut Street. A man with gunshot wounds was found behind a residence.
Derrick Dangelo Swinson, 23, was transported to WakeMed, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Anyone with information that might assist the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department at 919-890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 919-226-CRIME.
