Raleigh, N.C. — A squirrel caused a campus-wide power outage early Tuesday evening on the main campus of North Carolina State University, Progress Energy said.
The campus lost power shortly before 6 p.m. and remained without it for more than an hour. It was an incident isolated to the campus, Raleigh police said.
Police were in the area directing traffic while crews worked to fix the outage.
Progress Energy provides power to the substation, but power is managed by the university.
