Mother and Daughter Killed in Lee County Wreck

Sanford, N.C. — A mother and her 4-year-old daughter were killed in a wreck in Lee County.

The Highway Patrol said Diana Harding was traveling northbound Saturday on Edwards Road, near Sanford, when she lost control of her car. Harding, 36, over-corrected, ran off the road and hit a tree, troopers said.

No other cars were involved in the crash.
