Durham, N.C. — A Raleigh man was arrested Friday and charged in the death of a man whose body was found behind Bethesda Elementary School in October, police said.
Robert Leon Washington, 30, of Suburban Drive, was arrested Friday morning by Raleigh and Durham officers on Waterford Park Lane in Raleigh. He was charged with murder and was being held in the Durham County Jail without bond.
Cornelius Wayne Johnson, 26, of Raleigh, was found stabbed to death on Oct. 19 by a landscaping crew in some woods between Bethesda Elementary and houses off Glenco Road.
Johnson had been reported missing to the Raleigh Police Department on Sept. 22.
Police said Washington and Johnson were acquaintances.
