Selma — Police have identified a man who injured himself and eight other people while driving the wrong way on U.S. Highway 70.
Police say Oscar Zapata was intoxicated when the car he was driving slammed into a tanker truck and minivan in Selma earlier this month.
Zapata was critically injured and did not carry an ID. Police were looking into a report that the car Zapata was driving was reported stolen shortly after the accident.
Zapata has been charged with DWI and reckless driving.
