Smithfield, N.C. — A Raleigh man died in a single-vehicle accident in Johnston County during the early hours of Sunday morning, authorities confirmed.
Troopers said William Henry Rogers, 32, was driving a gray 1990 Honda east of Lassiter Pond Road on N.C. Highway 210 shortly before 1:30 a.m. He ran off the road, over-corrected and ran off the road again.
The Honda overturned, and Rogers was ejected from the vehicle. Troopers said he died at the scene.
Rogers was driving alone at the time.
Troopers said they were continuing to investigate the accident.
