N.C. State Tennis Player Faces Sex Charge

Editor's Note: The charge against Ansel Bivens was dismissed in December 2008 and his record was expunged in Sept. 2009.

A member of the North Carolina State University men's tennis team has been charged with crimes against nature, police said.

Ansel Dejon Bivens, 19, was charged last Saturday after a man told investigators he awoke to find Bivens performing a sex act on him, police said.

Bivens, a freshman from Charlotte, remains on the tennis team, according to N.C. State officials.
