Diesel Fuel Spill Contained in Durham

Durham, N.C. — Crews were able to contain a diesel fuel spill Wednesday morning in Durham.

A car struck a truck shortly after 9 a.m. in the 3800 block of Miami Boulevard, authorities said. The car stuck near the truck's fuel tank area, causing the spill.

The fire department was able to keep the fuel from storm drains. It is not yet known how much fuel spilled from the truck.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Another excuse for raising gas/fuel prices coming. Citgo is not cheaper for diesel. It is $3.38 at a litle rundown place east side of Sanford....just down the street BP was $3.08....saving cents makes sense !

part of me wants to go over there with my Jetta and scoop up the spill in cups and put it in my tank. Diesel is about 3.13/gallon in RTP (or it was at the Citgo which is usually cheapest).
