Man Fatally Shot at Fayetteville Motel

Fayetteville, N.C. — Authorities said a man was fatally wounded early Tuesday at a Fayetteville motel.

Officers said they responded to a call involving a disturbance with a weapon at the Tropical Motel, located at 4306 Bragg Boulevard, detectives said. When they arrived, they found a man wounded in an apparent shooting.

Police said the man was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The name of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of next-of-kin.

There is no word on a possible motive for the crime.
