'Magnet Militia' Helps Bring Awareness to Michelle Young Case

Efforts Renewed to Find Michelle Young's Killer

A group that refers to itself as the “Magnet Militia” targeted N.C. State University fans at Saturday's homecoming game.

They distributed magnets reading "Justice for Michelle Young" in an effort to generate new leads in the investigation.

The 29-year-old pregnant mother was found beaten to death at her 5108 Birchleaf Drive home on Nov. 3, 2006.

Progress Energy, Young's employer, has also posted fliers advertising a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the case.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Wake County Sheriff's Office at 919-856-6800.
