Cary, N.C. — Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was expected to receive an award Friday in Cary.
The Jesse Helms Center Foundation will present Antonin Scalia with the James W. Nance Medal of Freedom. Scalia joined the Supreme Court in 1986.
The foundation gives the honor to a person in government it believes best exemplifies a devotion to public service and the protection of the nation's foundational values.
