Mounted Gunman Charged in Chatham Shooting

A Siler City man faces weapons charges after a man on horseback fired shots at a vehicle, authorities said.

Terry Phillips, 38, of 469 Alston Bridge Road, was charged with felonious shooting into occupied property and five counts of assault by pointing a gun.

A mounted gunman fired into an occupied vehicle on Alston Bridge Road in Chatham County and pointed a gun at several other motorists on Sunday, authorities said.
