Reward Offered in Restaurateur's Slaying

Sheriff's Office: Masked Men Kill Wilson County Restaurant Owner

A $5,000 reward was offered Tuesday for information to help apprehend and convict the people who gunned down a local restaurant owner over the weekend.

The Town of Stantonsburg Development Corporation posted the reward in connection with the slaying of Song Ni. Crime Stoppers of Wilson also will pay up to $1,000 for information in the case.

Ni, 34, was killed in a home invasion and robbery late Saturday. He owned Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant on Moyton Avenue and lived across the street from the restaurant.

Two employees were assaulted by three masked men with guns as the walked over to Ni's house after closing the restaurant Saturday night, authorities said.

The men stole $700 from one of the employees and shot Ni before fleeing, authorities said.

Anyone with any information in the case is asked to call the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 252-237-2118.
