Duke Picks Firm to Design Central Campus

print friendly

Duke University has chosen the Pelli Clark Pelli Architects to redevelop the school's Central Campus.

The firm will be responsible for developing an overall vision for the campus, which comprises 200 acres between Duke's East and West campuses.

The firm's most notable works include Reagan International Airport in Washington, D.C.

Pelli Clark will help design Central Campus to connect the East and West campuses, while preserving open space.

Construction could begin in late 2008, with buildings beginning to open by 2010. The full development of the Central Campus is expected to take place in phases over a 20- to 50-year period.

It is easier to see other people's errors instead of your own. Several times I have posted with errors only b/c I know what I am trying to say, so when I proof read, my mind sees something that isn't there. =)

Watch it FE - I got an email from WRAL when I commented upon their inability to hire writers who know English. Prepare to be banned from the comment section - even tho' they cannot write, it is still their site.

Has a choosen - that is a classic for sure...

"has a choosen"

News article obviously was NOT written by a Duke grad!
