The race for the Democratic presidential nomination is a three-way dead heat among North Carolina voters, according to a new poll.

U.S. Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama each garnered 27 percent of the response in a new Public Policy Polling survey, while former U.S. Sen. John Edwards was the favorite of 26 percent of the respondents. Eleven percent of those polled were undecided, while 10 percent said they would vote for another candidate.

On the Republican side, former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson continues to lead the race, with 34 percent support. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's support fell for the second month in a row, to 15 percent, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich garnered 13 percent support. Another 21 percent of GOP voters said they were still undecided.

Public Policy Polling, a Raleigh group that represents many Democratic clients, surveyed 629 likely Democratic primary voters and 583 likely Republican primary voters on Monday. The Democratic and Republican surveys have margins of error of 3.8 percent and 4 percent, respectively.

c4sp3r- you know you're right. I did misstep on that question of Clinton vs. Bush. And yes, I was there (no matter the thinly veiled accusation that I wasn't---Fox Co. 2/7, Ripper Triangle). And thanks for responding to only HALF of the posting, but ignoring the BIG question that everyone else in the country wants to know except for the Pubs. BTW, nice quote from transcripts but you'd do well to read the whole matter. Clinton used Military action to force compliance to UNSCOM inspections after diplomatic solutions broke down. The question of whether or not Iraq was using the political situation in America (Rep. impeachment proceedings) as an opportunity to warm up its war machine is still debated today. Had UNSCOM been able to complete it's mission we might have been able to at that time avoid the conflict that we are currently mired in...I mean after all we are only there because of WMDs, right? Or am I missing something?

"I just can't help but feel we are under assault by power hungry politicians that are willing to sell all of us down the river due to their personal selfish greed. Its disgusting as well as scary, I wish there was an answer. May God bless us all, we're going to need it."

I agree 100%, halyard!

Strategic, you asked two ?’s. What I mean by representing the people of this state, is he should have been working for us 100%. I do not care about averages and how he compares to others. All I care about is what has he done for MY state; the state that elected him to do a job.

As far as my numbers, I pulled them directly from the Library of Congress/Thomas last year. The link I had shows an average per year no longer works, but, I do have the link below:

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/108/states/nc/

It is listed by congress, the 108th, and shows Edwards clearly had 45.2% attendance for both sessions in 2003 & 2004. Edwards missed votes on partial-birth abortion, budget, homeland security, terrorism, pension funding, alternative energy, forest restoration, and, intelligence reform.

The facts speak for themselves. There is no media conspiracy. The only conspiracy here is trying to portray John Edwards as a person of caring, integrity and morals.

Thanks weasleyes, I just can't help but feel we are under assault by power hungry politicians that are willing to sell all of us down the river due to their personal selfish greed. Its disgusting as well as scary, I wish there was an answer. May God bless us all, we're going to need it.

I'm out for now, catch you guys later.

Saying "God Bless America" doesn't make you a "great American" or patriotic or any of the other BS that you apparently think. It just shows your incompetence for reason and logic. If "god" wanted to bless America, there would be no need for your assistance in saying so.
