Motorcyclist Dies After Failing to Stop at Sign

Raleigh, N.C. — A motorcyclist died shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Gresham Lake and Wellborn roads.

Michael Camiglio, 34, was operating a three-wheel motorcycle and was traveling south on Wellborn Road. He did not stop at a stop sign before attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Gresham Lake Road, according to police.

Camiglio was not able to effectively maneuver the turn and proceeded across Gresham Lake Road, where the motorcycle hit a curb, traveled across a parking lot and struck the building at 3200 Gresham Lake Road.

Camiglio was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
