School Playground Fire Under Investigation

Raleigh, N.C. — A fire that destroyed a school playground Monday is under investigation, authorities said.

The fire started in some grass near Hunter Elementary School and spread onto school grounds, charring and melting the playground, authorities said.

Investigators said the fire was no accident, and they're reviewing school surveillance tapes for possible leads in the case.

Sounds like someone was bored. Hope the surveillance tapes reveal something useful and that the culprit(s) face hard community time rebuilding what they have destroyed.
