A man charged with stabbing a woman to death at her Raleigh apartment last week faces new charges.
Raleigh police have now charged Mwanza Bennett with resisting, delaying and obstructing a police officer who was trying to arrest him.
Bennett is also being charged with assault with a deadly weapon for trying to run over the officer.
Police said the new charges stem from when Bennett tried to flee from the crime scene. Bennett is currently charged with the death of Lorrielle Watkins.
