The Fayetteville Police Department will hold a community crime meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2805 Village Drive.

Topics of discussion include a police officer and forensic technician response to home break-ins and tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.

The police department says it holds a meeting every month in an area that has seen an increase in crime.

My guess is only a very a small number of people will show up. It's much easier to complain about the police after the fact than to actually do something ahead of time.

Agree, Rebelyell55. Anyone who claims "profiling" should be put into a walled-off section of the city where police are not required to respond. Why did we allow a certain spoiled, destructive group to take over?

That should last until wee hours of the morning, they have a lot to discuss.

While this is good, it soemtime can be fustrating to police. In the past, leaders of high crime communitie ask for more police present and help. When the police responsed, it helped, but 7 month down the road they get into trouble for "profiling". Can't win for losing here.
