A 20-year-old Raleigh man was charged Monday with peeping on a woman in a bathroom at the Wake County Courthouse.

Katrel Gulley, of 3525 Kernstown Drive, "walked into the women's bathroom on the 11th floor of the Wake County Courthouse and peeped over the top of the stall" last Thursday, according to an arrest warrant.

The woman, who asked not to be identified, told WRAL News that Gulley had been hanging out in the hallway near the clerk's office on the 11th floor for about a week. Security had been watching him, she said.

Last Thursday, the woman noticed what appeared to be men's shoes in the bathroom stall next to her. The shoes disappeared, and she looked up and saw the man peering over the stall, she said. After screaming at him repeatedly to get out, he finally ran away, she said.

Courthouse security officers were able to get a picture of him from a security camera, and he was arrested Tuesday in front of the courthouse.

Gulley's arrest record dates to 2008 and includes charges for sexual battery and assault on a female. He failed to appear in court on those charges and is scheduled to appear on Oct. 5 for the sexual battery charge, Oct. 12 on the assault charge and Oct. 24 on the peeping charge.

WOW...of all places!!!

This poor man has a a condition..and with the proper tax payer paid government care, he can be restored to full social viabilty. Whatcha think?

"Gulley's arrest record dates to 2008 and includes charges for sexual battery and assault on a female. He failed to appear in court on those charges "

So why was this guy free? Why was no bench warrant issued to arrest him when he did a 'no show'? And he now commits a crime in the Courthouse??? Yep he wanted to go to jail and not have to work.

Don't worry, he's just waiting around for his next disability check to come in the mail. Then he'll go shopping and be gone from the courthouse.

Three things about this proves to me that crooks just don't look at life in a normal manner:

1) "Gulley had been hanging out in the hallway near the clerk's office on the 11th floor for about a week." A WEEK?

2) "Last Thursday, the woman noticed ..." combined with "... he was arrested Tuesday in front of the courthouse." Just five days later, he's back in front of the building in which he did this?

3) The building itself was ... THE COURTHOUSE???

Side point: We've been told that the courthouse is not an acceptable place to have the Ten Commandments posted. Well, considering the fact that one of them is "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife," perhaps having them posted at the Courthouse would have been helpful for this gentleman ... especially since he will now find himself in ... the Courthouse along with those that have killed, stolen, cheated on their spouse, perjured themselves, used the Lord's name in vain ... well, you get my point.
