Fayetteville delivery driver assaulted in latest robbery

print friendly

The robbery of a Chinese food delivery driver over the weekend marks the sixth such crime in Fayetteville in recent months.

Police said Monday that three men physically assaulted and robbed the China Wok driver who was making a delivery to the 5400 block of Wichita Drive around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Five other robberies involving delivery drivers have been reported since June – one in June and the others this month – but Saturday's case is the only one in which the driver reported being physically assaulted and having a vehicle stolen.

In each of the other cases, according to police, the robber or robbers only stole cash, food and cellphones.

A weapon – either a knife or gun – was also involved in each of the previous robberies, but investigators did not say whether a weapon was involved in the one over the weekend.

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483- 8477.

The resturants need to stop delivering in that area. It is so simple even a kid can figure it out. Why is there not a discription of who is doing it?

Just some entitlement people getting their fair share, nothing here, move along.

Wonder what these perps look like? I guess we will never know;0)

WRAL doesn't have to try and concel the descriptions of the suspects. I think we all know what their descriptions are. In other words, same story, same cast of characters.

if i was the restaurants I wouldnt deliver in these areas
