Durham, N.C. — An employee was shot Saturday morning during a robbery outside a Durham video store, police said.

 Police said the assistant manager of the Blockbuster store at 3500 N. Duke St. was shot twice around 9:30 a.m. as he was getting into his car with a bank deposit bag. The robber took the bag.

The assistant manager, whose name wasn't released, was wounded in the stomach and wrist. He was taken to Duke University Hospital. An update on his condition was not available, but police described his injuries as serious.
