Police on Monday released the names of two men who were found dead in a car in Fayetteville late Sunday.

Fayetteville police officers were dispatched to Gillespie Street near Cambell Avenue about 9 p.m. after someone called 911 to report shots fired and a vehicle accident.

When officers arrived, they found Jamone Lasalle Jacques, 26, of 6200 Block of Yewlene Drive in Fayetteville, and Anthony DeAngelo Aigle, 23, of W. Blue St. in St. Pauls, dead in the vehicle. Both had gunshot wounds, police said.

A Raeford man was arrested in connection with the case. Eric White, 22, of Beltons Loop, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Police have not said how the victims knew each other or whether they knew the suspect.

The case remains under investigation.

Australia tried the "no one will owe a firearm" policy. Hundreds of thousands of firearms destroyed from Assault weapons to historical hunting rifles. How well did it work? Not to good. Violent crime has risen as people can not protect themselves and the criminal element knows it.

RE : Clearly the legislation that we have now, it totally useless [at keeping guns out of criminals hands]. NO politician has the courage to suggest that No One should have a gun, and only that would reduce the murder rate that we have in the USA (yes, of all industrialized nations, USA is Number 1 in murder). Even notice the most common age of the perps? Less than 30. Maybe a simple age restriction of 30 would dramatically reduce the murders among our young immature hot heads?

Lots of Political Hacks have spoken out that no one should have a gun, Fortunately we are Constitutional Republic and "The Right For The PEOPLE To Keep And Bear Arms" is protected/guaranteed by the Constitution, The Supreme Court has ruled it is and individual right,,, Get over it,,,

There some insight,,, 30 years old,,, Lets pass a law restricting murder for anyone under 30.

not a good neighbourhood, and note that's like two blocks from down town fayetteville. that revitalization that has been going on for what is it now 30+ years, not working...

I think they should pull in a few bulldozers, and go to town, literally, maybe charge a few dollars to smash a building down, Then put up a wal-mart.

Murder is already illegal. Why hasn't that stopped the killing? - rwest134

Great question. I'm afraid it'll go unanswered by the dolts who would have us all turn in our only line of immediate defense against criminals.

Nice. Guess I'll get some popcorn and wait for a response to this.
