The third suspect in the robbery and shooting death of a 28-year-old Fayetteville man on Tuesday surrendered to police Saturday morning.

Samuel Javon McKoy, 22, of the 1800 block of Blake Street faces first-degree murder charge in the death of James Farrior, who was shot between two businesses on Ramsey Street. Gary T. Jones, 29, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

McKoy also faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center.

Two other suspects – Andrew Bentinck, 19, of the 200 block of Tiffany Court, and Stanley Generette, 30, of the 600 block of Walker Street – surrendered to police Friday afternoon.

Police said they are still investigating the case.

Generette was convicted of four counts of armed robbery in 2002 and served nearly four years in prison, according state Division of Adult Corrections. He also has convictions for breaking-and-entering and drug violations.

McKoy's criminal history includes convictions for breaking-and-entering and dealing drugs, records show.
