Fayetteville, N.C. — Human remains were found Wednesday afternoon behind a vacant Fayetteville medical office building, police said.
Investigators do not believe they belong to missing Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux.
They are treating the case as a homicide.
A work crew discovered the remains in the tree line behind the University Medical Center building, at 705 Cumberland Street, around 3:30 p.m. The businesses there are no longer operational, police said.
The remains were sent to the medical examiner's office for identification.
