Fayetteville, N.C. — A 39-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Bragg died Monday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle while driving north on Eastern Boulevard and hit an ambulance, police said.
According to investigators, Benjamin Pasley, of Raeford, collided with the ambulance around 8 p.m. as it traveled east on Owen Drive while responding to an emergency call.
Pasley, who was an active duty soldier, died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center a short time later.
No other injuries were reported. Police said alcohol and speed were not factors in the collision.
