Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect and another man wanted for questioning in an armed robbery of the Discount Smoke Shop on South Reilly Road.

Jeffrey Sadat Steward, 26, is facing one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the July 5 incident.

Police said a man wearing an orange mask walked into the store shortly after 1 a.m. and displayed a handgun. The man fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and personal property belonging to one of the employees. Police identified Steward as the suspect after reviewing the security video.

Steward also has warrants in connection to other crimes committed along Cliffdale Road and Reilly Road. The charges are: two counts of felony breaking and entering; two counts of lacerny after breaking and entering; two counts of possession of stolen goods; two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses; one count of larceny of motor vehicle; and one count of possession of stolen motor vehicle.

He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has a dragon tattoo on his forearm.

A second man identified as a person of interest was seen inside the store on security video. Police said he was wearing a white shirt, blue hat and driving a gold-colored sport utility vehicle.

Anyone with information on Steward or the witness is asked to call Fayettteville detectives at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477).

Someone knows where he is. I use to live around that area. He is getting bolder in his crimes. Someone is going to get killed.

Agree with SFSOLDIER, you can be part of the solution or part of the problem. Just like people complaining about potholes in the road. Report them to NCDOT and they will be fixed.

"Fayetteville PD wants public's help to find suspect" How much is it worth to them? piene2

WHAT KIND OF COMMENT IS THAT? We need to help the law in getting these criminals off the streets before they kill someone.

Put a big enough price on his head and his friends/enemies will rat him out. It's all about the benjamins....$

Maybe we should go back to the Wanted Dead or Alive or $5000.00 reward Posters of the wild west. They could be placed in all the gas stations around town.
