Fayetteville police are asking for the public's help in identifying two women wanted in connection with recent motor vehicle thefts in the area.

They released surveillance video on their YouTube page Wednesday of the women in a red SUV at a local convenience store.

Both are of medium build, stand about 5 feet 5 inches tall, have short hair and are in their 20s or 30s.

Investigators believe the women are part of a theft ring targeting vans, trucks and motorcycles in the Fayetteville area.

Anyone who might recognize the women or the red SUV in the video is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-486-8477.
