Fayetteville man faces 82 charges in Harnett, Moore counties

A Fayetteville man is facing 82 charges in connection with crimes across two neighboring counties, police said Monday.

Omega Draville Bacote, of the 7600 block of Branchwood Circle in Fayetteville, was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $152,000 secured bond.

Bacote, who was arrested at his residence Friday by Fayetteville police officers, is accused in crimes committed in Harnett and Moore counties.

He is charged with 37 felony counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle; one count each of felony larceny, first-degree burglary and possession of stolen goods; three counts of felony financial card theft; 16 counts of misdemeanor larceny; and 23 counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.

Details about the crimes were not immediately available.

Unless someone bails him out, it'll be six month before he even goes to trial. Hope it's longer, and then some prison time , but that would be wishful thinking.
