Kinston man charged in connection with weekend stabbing

Kinston, N.C. — A 23-year-old Kinston man was charged with attempted murder Thursday morning in connection with a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital on Sunday, authorities said. 

According to police, Adro Williams, of 1712 A Colgate Drive, stabbed 42-year-old Ashonti Williams multiple times after trying to shoot him at a home in the 1300 block of McAdoo Street Sunday evening around 7 p.m.

Ashonti Williams was taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, authorities said.

Adro Wiliams was in the Lenoir County jail Thursday morning under a $1 million secured bond.

No other details about the stabbing were released.

What's behind it....maybe stupidity, drugs, gangs, no education, uncaring, the way he was raised but probably wanting to prove what a big man he is.....enjoy prison.
