Fayetteville, N.C. — A customer and employee were tied up and held at gunpoint while two men robbed an Internet sweepstakes cafe in Fayetteville Wednesday morning, police said.
Andy Floyd, of Vass, stopped by the Little Vegas cafe around 6:30 a.m. when two men walked in to rob the store. Floyd said the robbers restrained him and an employee, tied them up and struck them in the head with a handgun.
The men took about $800 from a safe and fled in Floyd's pickup truck, he said.
"I was laying there praying to God that everything would come out all right," Floyd said. "And it did, except for my truck being gone. That can be replaced. The money can be replaced. I'm lucky to be alive."
His truck – a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado with North Carolina license plate ZYT 3090 – has not been recovered.
Police seized surveillance video from the cafe. No arrests have been made.
