Fayetteville, N.C. — A Spring Lake man was arrested Wednesday and charged in two recent robberies of fast-food restaurants in Fayetteville, police said.

Rakeen Sincere Douglas, 20, of Daly Avenue, was charged with two counts each of possession of a firearm by a felon and conspiracy and one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being held in the Cumberland County jail under a $100,000 bond.

Two men wearing masks and brandishing weapons have robbed several fast-food restaurants in Cumberland, Sampson and Moore counties in the past month.

Douglas is charged with the May 18 robberies of a Burger King at 2117 Cedar Creek Road and a Hardee's at 6397 Ramsey St., both in Fayetteville.

Robberies also occurred on May 18 at a Hardee's in Clinton, on May 20 at a Hardee's in Sanford, on May 22 at a KFC in Aberdeen and on June 1 at a Hardee's on Reilly Road in Fayetteville.

Police said the investigation of the robberies is continuing.
