Goldsboro police have arrested a suspect in a shooting at a graduation party earlier in June that injured two people.

Police believe that Bobby Edward Davis III was the gunman who opened fire at Party Central, 800 Corporate Drive, striking Christah Tanjere Battle, 17, and Michael Deshaun Sawyer, 20, both of Goldsboro.

Davis, 20, of 195 Scott Drive, was charged Monday with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a weapon inside the city limits. He was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $150,000 secured bond.

Davis was put on probation in March for a misdemeanor drug charge, according to state Division of Adult Corrections. He has three other convictions, including felony speeding to elude arrest, and has served one four-month jail term for a probation violation.

And the NC Legislature is doing their darndest to do away with both.

He's proven to be a danger to society. Put him away and throw the key down the drain.

pienis2 thinks we need more gun control to keep guns out of the hands of felons. He must be correct.

Oh my!

well he gest free room and board and can emagine that with his life style and place that he lives, this jail time will just be vacation to him, and to most who return to Jail, they have more friends there than they do on the outside. No hassles, food, shower , medical care, I know people that live outside of jail, and do have that many perks in life. And we ask why we have repeat offenders, it sometimes can be eisier than surviving on the outside.
