Morrisville, N.C. — A driver hit a pedestrian outside the baggage claim at Raleigh-Durham International Airport Monday evening.
Airport spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin said that two other people were injured as they tried to get out of the way of the vehicle, which also hit three signs outside Terminal 2 around 7 p.m. The person struck by the vehicle was taken to WakeMed, while the two others were treated at the scene.
RDU police cited Christopher Dashawn Mazyck, 20, of Durham, with a safe movement violation.

The entire parking lot is a mixed pedestrian / vehicle area, and whether you like it or not, the car must yield. What is your problem, hurry. It is a parking lot, not a roadway.

EVERY day when on I-440 West on my way to the 64/264 bypass exit just past New Bern Avenue, and in the right lane for this exit, traffic entering on the I-440 ramp from 64 Business always come barreling down that ramp lane with NNNNOOOOOOO yielding done to the cars on I-440.
I also see this on the entrance ramp from Saunders north onto I-440 East. NNNNOOOOO yielding is done to those cars with the right-of-way that have turned left & already entered from Saunders south.
Ditto for heading on I-440 west & in the right-hand lane for upcoming exit to Saunders north. Traffic entering on the ramp for I-440 West from Hammond Rd like to bear down on you, making a driver feel like they're playing chicken & see who's going to yield.
WHERE ARE THE COPS AT ALL THESE LOCATIONS plus others????

Bear in mind these people were on a sidewalk where pedestrians should be and this vehicle ran up on the curb before running them over.

All by itself? Amazing. BTW, that's "curb".
