Raleigh, N.C. — The health and wellness website RealAge has ranked Raleigh-Durham No. 6 among its 10 best cities for a happy marriage.
"The area's vibrant, academic spirit and high employment level provide a solid backdrop for a good marriage. Seeing eye to eye on financial issues – a leading cause of marital stress and divorce – can go a long way toward avoiding marriage troubles," it wrote.
Charlotte ranked No. 5 on the list. Greenville, S.C., ranked No. 2, and Salt Lake City took the top spot.
Other cities include Knoxville, Tenn., No. 3; Cincinnati, No. 4; Hartford, Conn., No. 7; Kansas City, Mo., No. 8; Grand Rapids, Mich., No. 9; and Minneapolis-St. Paul, No. 10.
