The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a robbery at the agriculture building in Raleigh last month.

Brian Long, public affairs director for the agriculture department, said someone broke into the building, at 2 W. Edenton St., on May 26 and stole cellphones and a backpack from some offices.

Security cameras captured images of the man. Anyone with information about who he might be should contact the department's public safety office at 919-839-4508.

No worries...based on our gov'ts methods of tracking what it owns, it may break even after an audit

When caught he should have to work in the fields...

Maybe by IMPROPER use some would call this a robbery, but not by definition. This was not a robbery.

WRAL, get your facts straight. A robbery, by definition, is a larceny from the person with force. -- COMMENT

By definition and popular use, this was a robbery.

IF I come into work and the place is sacked, I say "We were robbed." Maybe one day, we'll all say, "a breaking & entering, then larceny has occurred on our premises."

Once the "robber" is caught, and charged, then the legal terminology comes into play. The print media is restrained by space of type, and "Rob" is such a short word as opposed to Breaking and Entering, and "B&E" is vernacular not used by all, so we are stuck.

I'll give odds that more time has been spent by we first4 posters than the reporter had for the story in the first place.

I wonder if they just noticed things missing now?
