A train struck and killed a 15-year-old girl along railroad tracks at Morrisville Carpenter and Chapel Hill roads Monday evening, a Morrisville town spokeswoman said.

Jessica Fladung was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are calling her death an apparent suicide.

Spokeswoman Stephanie Smith said police talked to the train conductor to piece together what lead to Fladung's death.

The wreck caused major traffic delays during the evening commute.

sinenomine, it says in the article it was a suspected suicide. Is so sad that a young teen sees nothing in life worth living for. So sorry for family and friends.
