@djofraleigh Common sense tells us that the images are of boys no older than 17 years old as one is considered an 'adult' at age 18. This being the case, the age of victims is pretty irrelevant. It's a disgusting crime regardless of the age of the children. Secondly...this isn't the N&O site.

Considering he was an 8th grade science teacher it was probably middle school age children.

What does "young" mean? Is that 18yos or 12 yos? I wish the N&O would not assume we know what they mean by young. Everyone is young to me.

Vile, vile, vile. As a teacher, I find crimes like these especially horrid when they include teachers, parents, guardians, clergy, medical practitioners or other people whose jobs imply that they should be trustworthy. We take an unwritten vow to protect kids---ALL kids---and this man's plea proves he has not done so.

I hope that the investigation leads back to the children in the images somehow, so that they can get the counseling and care they need.

I believe that rehabilitation is possible for criminals, but I have serious doubts about those whose crimes are sexualized somehow, whether the victims are nearby or at a distance. For his sake and for others', I hope he can change while he's in prison.
