Knightdale, N.C. — One person was critically injured Friday morning when two cars collided on eastbound U.S. Highway 64 near Knightdale, the state Highway Patrol said.
According to authorities, a speeding pickup truck collided with an SUV near Rolesville Road around 3 a.m., causing both cars to flip several times.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to WakeMed with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The person's name was not released, but Highway Patrol officials said the person will face speeding and reckless driving charges.
The driver of the SUV, 44-year-old Dennis Leonard Isler, of Kinston, was charged with driving with a revoked license, but he won't face charges stemming from the wreck, authorities said. He was not injured.
Authorities shut down both lanes of Highway 64 for several hours overnight. while crews worked to clean up the scene. Both lanes reopened around 6 a.m.

Maybe not for this incident but he's without a license for some reason and still choosing to drive.....seems to me like he doesn't care about abiding by the law.
