The driver of the pickup truck was transported to WakeMed with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The person's name was not released, but Highway Patrol officials said the person will face speeding and reckless driving charges.

The driver of the SUV, 44-year-old Dennis Leonard Isler, of Kinston, was charged with driving with a revoked license, but he won't face charges stemming from the wreck, authorities said. He was not injured.

You can loose your liscence for not paying a non-moving violation ticket. Speed is the actual culprit here. For anyone who thinks speeding doesn't kill may I refer you to a formula that you may have learned in school: Force= Mass x Acceleration. You can break the rules of the road but you can't break the rules of physics. Sorry for the terrible wreck. Hope everyone will be OK.

"Isler was not at fault."

Maybe not for this incident but he's without a license for some reason and still choosing to drive.....seems to me like he doesn't care about abiding by the law.

Just because the person didn't have a license doesn't mean he doesn't care. People do what they have to do to keep a job. If they have no other way, they might have to resort to driving. I'm not saying it is right but it happens more than you think.

Isler needs to wait until he gets his drivers license back before driving again. He obviously doesn't have good enough luck to be on the wrong side of the law.

Isler was not at fault.

People without licenses just don't care. It's a shame too.
