Three men have been charged with stealing a cache of weapons, including two automatic machine guns, from a Goldsboro gun shop, authorities said Wednesday.

Wayne County deputies said they have recovered most of the stolen firearms, including both machine guns.

Benjamin James Carraway, 24, no address available, and Quandre Roshawn Weeks, 20, of 804 N. Pineview Ave. in Goldsboro, were charged with four counts each of possession of a weapon of mass destruction and transport of a weapon of mass destruction and one count each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. Weeks also faces two counts of selling or delivering a weapon of mass destruction.

Kevin Dejuan Walters, 23, of 705 E. Holly St. in Goldsboro, was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon of mass destruction and one count each of possession of a stolen firearm, transport of a weapon of mass destruction and selling or delivering a weapon of mass destruction.

Weeks was being held Wednesday in the Wayne County jail under a $300,000 bond, while Carraway was being held under a $225,000 bond and Walters was being held under a $105,500 bond.

WT's Gun Shop was burglarized on May 14, and three 9-millimeter handguns, seven .45-caliber handguns and two automatic .45-caliber machine guns were stolen, authorities said.

Mount Olive police recovered one of the stolen handguns on May 21, and evidence led investigators to one of the machine guns and another stolen handgun, authorities said. Further investigation led authorities to the other machine gun on Wednesday.

Sheriff Carey Winders said the case remains under investigation, and more arrests are possible.

NOT automatic handguns ... SEMI key word SEMI automatic . As far as the machine guns go , Im wondering what they were or is it media hype for a short barrel or a SEMI thompson ?

take advantage of it, already.

Good Job WCSD

Isn't that cute - pienis2 wants the state to protect us. A disarmed populace would be in no danger from government, right?

Have you posted the sign in your front yard declaring your unwillingness to defend yourself, your family or your property? If not, why not?

Soldier is absolutely right. I am a frequent WT's customer/browser. I was shocked someone actually got through the security to steal things.

It would make sense to store guns in a vault, but WT's is much too large of an operation for that.
