Four Oaks, N.C. — Officials with the town of Four Oaks lifted a boil water advisory Saturday morning at 6 a.m., saying that tests performed following two water main breaks Thursday morning show the water is safe to drink. 

About 3,200 people were without any water service for more than 12 hours Thursday after two lines ruptured around 11 a.m.

Several businesses were forced to close Thursday afternoon as crews worked to repair the water lines.
