Fayetteville police are searching for a missing 26-year-old woman whose 35-year-old boyfriend was found shot to death two days ago. The woman "may be in danger," police said Thursday.

Denika Lashalle Jones lived with Tommy Loren Webb at 1722 Gardenia Ave., where he was found dead Tuesday afternoon. The next day, someone deliberately set fire to a couch inside the house, police said. It's unclear if the fire is related to Webb's death.

Jones has not been seen since her boyfriend was found dead. When asked if she is a suspect, police would only say that the case is in the early stage of the investigation and that they want to find her and make sure she is OK.

Jones is 5-foot-4, 155 pounds, with short, black hair, brown eyes and a mole on her left cheek.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call police at 910-433-1421 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

About the fire of the couch the following day of the death.

They aren't sure if it's related or not because it's Fayetteville, an area where it's not unlikely for someone committing crime to be a victim of another crime. It's really that bad.

This statement makes no sense to me. If he was found dead a day before the fire, and the fire was set the day after he was found dead, how can the fire have anything to do with his death? Perhaps, I have just had a long day....

"Fayetteville man killed; missing girlfriend 'may be armed and dangerous'

Fixed the headline kampercam"

You need too fix your attitude toward other races.

Fayetteville is out of control! danyelle732 Has been for years. We just have much more media coverage in this day & age. When I was a child I would hear a lot of adults refer to Fayetteville as Fayette-Nam 30 plus years ago. And I guess whoever set fire to the couch the day after just cut the police tape and went in? If the girlfriend was missing, it would seem logical to keep a watchful eye on the crime seen for at least 48 hours to see if she came back or whoever did it returned......hmmmmmm I guess no one ever returns to the scene of the crime?

You would not think so if she was white, would you?
