Smithfield, N.C. — Three men were robbed at gunpoint Monday night in the front yard of a Smithfield home, police said Wednesday.
Police said the men were on Glenn Street talking when three men traveling in a tan or gold car stopped in front of the home and asked for directions.
Two armed men then got out of the car and took cash and cellphones from the victims.
No one was injured.
Police said the robbery appears to be random. The suspects were traveling in a gold or tan four-door car.
